DealWorkbench/Investors and analysts

Upcoming. Nobody has written this yet. The page is here so the shape can be argued with while changing it is still cheap, and you can tell us it is wrong.
Provenance is not a feature for an investment team, it is the job. Every claim in a memo should carry the page it came from, how close that page was to the fact, and when it was read.
What this actually looks like
- 01
A memo cites a revenue figure. Three weeks later somebody asks where it came from and the analyst who wrote it has moved to another fund.
- 02
Diligence on a company repeats work done eighteen months ago on the same company, because the earlier pass lives in a folder named after a deal that died.
- 03
An agent produces a confident number with no source. It goes into the deck because it was plausible.
What it would do
Every figure carries its page
A claim without a source cannot be promoted to fact. There is no button for it, so it is not a review step anybody can be too busy to do.
Conflicts stay conflicts
Two sources disagreeing is recorded as a disagreement, not resolved to whichever was read second.
Freshness is answerable
Read timestamps are recorded at the time. A figure from last March says so.
Memos that can be audited backwards
Export a memo and every sentence in it resolves to the evidence it was built from.
The highest willingness to pay of the four, for the least novel software. That is usually a good sign.
The other three
The same work, for a different reader. Your account covers all four, and each one keeps its own workspace, so a candidate pipeline and a professor roster never end up in the same list.
